Badger news😁🦡

Hello Badger Families😆👋.
This week we have been up to lots of fun and learning something new. We are continuing to learn about of topic ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’🐛🦋, making pretty patterns with pippettes, engaging in bucket, working on our communication skills, having fun and raising awareness for Red Nose Day❤️ and Holi celebrations😆

The week we have been doing lots of work around our topic. We’ve been using pictures to order the days and what that very hungry caterpillar ate. We also been sorting all the fruit and yummy sweet treat he ate into different days. This is helping us remember the story even after listening and watching it. Some of us were even able to complete the puzzle of a caterpillar🦋🐛

Making pretty patterns 😆

We’ve been working on our pincher grasp and our fine motor skills through art. We lay down a big piece of paper so we didn’t make a mess of the table. We all chose which colour we wanted to use. We then, using the peppetts, made pretty patterns. By using the pippettes, it helps us build our grasp, this can help some of us with our pen holding. Well Done boys, we are all so proud of you!!!!😆

Bucket🪣

This week in bucket we have done so well engage in all stages of bucket. We watched Zoe with some of our favourite flashing and spinning toys. Then we watched her create her own icecream with whipped cream and sprinkles but unfortunately she dropped it, Silly Zoe! After she then chose some of us to have a turn, some of us were copying Zoe and dropping our ice cream but some of us were too busy enjoying the cream and sprinkled. Well Done boys🎉😋

Communicating with our friends 🗣️

To encourage us with communicating using ALD’s we’ve been using come of your favourite toys or sensory objects. We’ve been using the ALD’s to indicate whether we would like more or finished but as we are using our favourites it’s encouraging us to communicate more willingly. This will help us build our understanding of ALD’s so in the future we know how to communicate with our friends🫶🏼

Red Nose Day❤️

This Friday was Red Nose Day. This is an annual fundraising campaign organised by Comic Relief. The aim is to raise money to help end the cycle of poverty and ensure children are safe, healthy, educated and empowered. So in bucket today Harriet made her very own red nose, we enjoyed watching it that much we got the opportunity to then mimic her by making our own. We also made some yummy biscuits with red icing and silly eye that we all enjoyed very much. A picture of our faces was printed off and we used red paint and our fingers to create the red nose on our faces.

Holi Celebrations 🕺

This Wednesday we celebrated Holi. Holi is a vibrant Hindu celebration also known as the festival of colours. We had a special visit from a dance instructor who showed us some of the traditional dances. We all enjoyed the different colours and materials that we were running around and dancing with.

Have a lovely weekend Boys and lots of rest🎉
