Hello and welcome to the summer term in Badger Class! our main topic is Let’s Go On Holiday and the Badgers have got off to a flying start. They read a new book called Teddy Takes A Tumble which is about a little boy who forgets to strap his teddy into his car seat. When his mum has to brake suddenly, Teddy falls onto the floor. Fortunately he is ok, but a bis shocked. Of course, the moral of the story is to make sure you do up your seat belt in the car! The Little Badgers had fun strapping Teddy into his car seat and a few of them surprised us as they were very good at this!
They also watched a video of an aeroplane taking off and landing and all pretended they were on the plane, going on holiday.

The Little Badgers also started to get ready for Eid by watching and singing along to Eid songs on You Tube and making an Eid card, which you should have found in their bags. Eid is on Monday and Tuesday, so if your Little Badger will still be celebrating with family on Tuesday, just let us know.

The Badgers had two PE lessons this week, as they are not swimming this half-term. They had great fun using the apparatus and following an obstacle course. They also had fun exercising outside and playing games of ”follow the leader”.

Our Star of the Week this week was Rizwanul, who has been making lots of efforts with receptive and expressive communication, including using PECS, making vocalisations and following verbal instructions. Well done, Rizwanul!

Next week, we will continue to explore the theme of holidays so it would be great if you could let us know what your Little Badger has been up to over he Bank Holiday weekend and if possible send in a photo. You can email it to postbox@oakwood.walsall.sch.uk or print it off and pop it in their diary bag.
