This week the Little Badgers spent some time getting the classroom ready for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. They decorated bunting using pastel crayons (messy but fun). we all listened to God Save The Queen and tried to learn the Makaton signs for it. Then we looked at the Union Flag and noticed it is made up of red and white stripes on a blue background. The Little Badgers then had a go at making their own union flags by gluing red and white strips of paper on a blue card. Their interpretations were fantastic and are now on display round our classroom door.
The Little Badgers also made some red, white and blue play dough and had fun playing with it.
Our star of the week this week was Gabriel, who has coped admirably with some major changes o his routine, including two appointments.. Well done, Gabriel!
After the half-term break we will be celebrating the Jubilee for three days, then continuing with our ”Holidays” topic. Don’t forget to send in your photos of your Little Badger enjoying their holiday for our classroom display board. You can send them to the school Postbox email address. Don’t worry if you haven’t been away- holidays at home are fun too and we’d love to display your photos.
Hopefully we will be swimming too so remember to send in kits on the first Wednesday!
