Busy Bees

It’s been another busy week in the Bumblebee class.

Our Bees have enjoyed developing their gross motor skills during PE. Building on their balance, focus and positive participation. They have enjoyed climbing the apparatus, walking along the benches, and also swaying to action songs.

We have also enjoyed developing our taste buds during cooking. Trying new foods, mixing ingredients together and, of course, eating the final product.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Star of the Week! ⭐️

This week our star is a young lady who has positively participated with all activities this week, and overcome her own personal barriers.

Ladies and gentlemen… our star of the week is……

Well done young lady! 👍

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star ⭐️

This week we have been enjoying exploring our topic song – Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. The Bumblebees have enjoyed looking at our ‘twinkle’ lights, tasting star sweets and looking at our star books.

We have also enjoyed our music sessions, focused around ‘The World’ 🌎 The Bees enjoyed looking and playing with the inflatable ‘Earth’ and listening to the land & sea sounds.

In cooking, we enjoyed practicing our ‘mixing’ skills by combining water and flour together. We were able to pour in the flour & water and then use a wooden spoon to mix. Some of us really enjoyed getting our hands stuck in too 😊

We hope you are all well and have a lovely weekend.

Welcome back to our Bumblebees. It has been so nice seeing all our children back this week.

They have settled back in nicely and adapted to our wonderful new furniture and resources.

This half term our topic is based around Earth, Space, Day & Night. To build on our Bumblebees’ interests our focus is our favourite Nursey Rhyme Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.

Please feel free to watch these at home with your little ones – they certainly enjoy listening to them with their friends.

A Few Reminders –

On Wednesday’s our Bumblebees will begin swimming again – please provide a swimming costume/shorts, swimming nappy, towel and floats or swimming jackets if needed.

Happy New Year and we look forward to supporting you and watching our Bees flourish this Year.

Star of the week

Our star of the week was nominated because he has joined in every activity this week, taken part within our ‘good morning’ session and did ‘good waiting’ for his turn when Santa visited!

Well done young man…

Merry Christmas! 🎄

It has been a very busy week in the Bumblebees class, filled with lots of Christmas fun! 🎄🎅

Party time…

Below are some pictures from our Christmas party. Our bees enjoyed looking at, and playing with the parachute, exploring our Christmas light box and popping the bubbles. They also had a go at our sensory buffet, filled with all our favourite foods and textures.

Special moments…

This is the day our little ones had a special visit from Santa. Their eye contact and smiles speak volumes. Not everyone was a fan, but everyone came to have a look 🥰 Well done Bees 🐝

All the Bumblebees have had a blast. It has been so lovely to see their smiles throughout the week! 😊

Finally… something from us to you…

We wanted to share something extra special to our extended Bumblebee family, you at home. The team have put together a special video sharing some memorable moments over the last few weeks.

Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year! Enjoy x

See you all in 2022. Please stay safe!

This week we have been getting in to the Christmas spirit and our Bees have been taking part in a variety of Christmas themed activities (which you will see during our special Christmas video that the Bumblebees are putting together for you to enjoy next week. It will be shared on the blog) 🌟

On Friday we celebrated Christmas Jumper day and all sat and enjoyed our lunch with our personalised decorated placemats and hats, some even tried the Christmas dinner – well done Bumblebees! 👏 👏 👏

Snow Day Activities…

Good Morning Bumblebees…

Due to the adverse weather and ensuring our children and staff remain safe, school is closed today (29th November 2021) which means we get to do lots of lovely work from the safety of our homes.

Below is the schedule we follow on a Monday supported by some suggested activities for you to try if you wish to do so….

9:25 – Good Morning

Our letter of the week is F.

Our story songs for this half term are The Gruffalo and Animal Boogie – 2 of our favourites!

9:40 – We have breakfast in class followed by our first sensory activity.

Can you make Gruffalo footsteps out of snow and maybe even try and build your own Gruffalo?

10:15 – Playtime – can you make a choice and chose a toy to play with an adult? Maybe even taking turns?

11:00 – We begin our second activity – can you build a Gruffalo den and maybe make some Gruffalo crumble with cornflakes and melted chocolate?

11:30 – It’s time for lunch and then playtime.

12:45 – We come together to say Good Afternoon to our friends

1:00 – On a Monday we go to the Multi sensory room for relaxation and massage. Can you do something at home to relax?

2:00 – We have our snack followed by playtime and our home time songs.

Take away task – can you look through a magazine/catalogue and rip/cut out Christmas pictures to bring in to school for our Christmas visual box?

We hope you have a lovely day together and stay safe!
