Number Day!

Our Bees (adults & children) have really enjoyed celebrating Number day on Friday!

It has been so lovely seeing our bees dressed up in differ Numbers and Shapes, celebrating all the different areas of Maths.

Throughout the day we have enjoyed moving to counting songs during PE and exploring numbers & shapes during our Child-led and iPad sessions.

Below are some of our favourite counting songs for you to share at home.

We hope you enjoy these songs, at home, as much as we do in school.

Have a lovely weekend.

Twinkle, Twinkle

Hello Bumblebees 🐝

It has been very nice to welcome back staff and children who have been affected by covid. We have had a wonderful week together enjoying our topic song – Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star 🌟

We have uploaded our version below for you to enjoy at home with your little ones.

Enjoy singing and signing the song! 😊

We’ve also enjoyed making Moon Rocks and glittery Stars. As you would have found out, by all the glitter, our Bees have really enjoyed these activities.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Superstar of the Week!

When our children are in conflict with the world, it can be very hard for them to enjoy even the nicest of things.

This has been the case for this week’s Superstar of the Week. He is a young boy who has let down his barriers during our Chinese New Year celebrations this week, allowing himself to enjoy all that was on offer. Well done!

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year 2022 – Year of the Tiger

This week in the Bumblebees class, we have been celebrating Chinese New Year – it’s the Year of the Tiger!

We have enjoyed listening to Dragon Dance Music – exploring some of the sounds and movement during our Music sessions with instruments and red/yellow ribbon.

We have also enjoyed developing our Fine Motor Skills through picking out Gold Coins with Tweezers in our Chinese New Year sensory tray and painting stripes on our Tiger masks.

Let’s not forget our Cooking/Food tasting sessions – where the Bumblebees designed a ‘tiger print’ with Jaffa Cakes and Orange Icing and enjoyed tasting Prawn Crackers.

It’s been another busy but lovely week. We are sending love to all our poorly Bees and we can’t wait to see you all soon.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Our Week in Pictures

This week our Bumblebees have enjoyed developing their skills through our informal curriculum.

We have focused on our Physical Development within swimming, PE & outdoor play. As well as building our problem solving skills through sensory exploration.

We have been enjoying our topic song, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and through that, developed our creativity through starry art work and cooking ~ we made moon cakes! ☺️

Once again, thank you for your continued support. Have a lovely weekend.

Busy Bees

It’s been another busy week in the Bumblebee class.

Our Bees have enjoyed developing their gross motor skills during PE. Building on their balance, focus and positive participation. They have enjoyed climbing the apparatus, walking along the benches, and also swaying to action songs.

We have also enjoyed developing our taste buds during cooking. Trying new foods, mixing ingredients together and, of course, eating the final product.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Star of the Week! ⭐️

This week our star is a young lady who has positively participated with all activities this week, and overcome her own personal barriers.

Ladies and gentlemen… our star of the week is……

Well done young lady! 👍

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star ⭐️

This week we have been enjoying exploring our topic song – Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. The Bumblebees have enjoyed looking at our ‘twinkle’ lights, tasting star sweets and looking at our star books.

We have also enjoyed our music sessions, focused around ‘The World’ 🌎 The Bees enjoyed looking and playing with the inflatable ‘Earth’ and listening to the land & sea sounds.

In cooking, we enjoyed practicing our ‘mixing’ skills by combining water and flour together. We were able to pour in the flour & water and then use a wooden spoon to mix. Some of us really enjoyed getting our hands stuck in too 😊

We hope you are all well and have a lovely weekend.

Welcome back to our Bumblebees. It has been so nice seeing all our children back this week.

They have settled back in nicely and adapted to our wonderful new furniture and resources.

This half term our topic is based around Earth, Space, Day & Night. To build on our Bumblebees’ interests our focus is our favourite Nursey Rhyme Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.

Please feel free to watch these at home with your little ones – they certainly enjoy listening to them with their friends.

A Few Reminders –

On Wednesday’s our Bumblebees will begin swimming again – please provide a swimming costume/shorts, swimming nappy, towel and floats or swimming jackets if needed.

Happy New Year and we look forward to supporting you and watching our Bees flourish this Year.

Star of the week

Our star of the week was nominated because he has joined in every activity this week, taken part within our ‘good morning’ session and did ‘good waiting’ for his turn when Santa visited!

Well done young man…
