Happy Birthday NHS! ⭐️

We have had a super week in Deer Class, we have enjoyed spending time together and creating some fantastic achievements! We are so proud of all our amazing Deer pupils! 🦌⭐️🏆

This week we celebrated the NHS Birthday! We learnt about our wonderful NHS, it’s history, purpose and meaning in society. We learnt about all the different job roles within the NHS, such as Doctors, nurses, paramedics, cleaners, cooks and much more! We talked about the role of each of these jobs, and how important they all are. It was amazing to celebrate all those who work incredibly hard to keep us safe and healthy. We wrote a thank you letter in our books to express our gratitude. 👩‍⚕️🧑‍⚕️🏥🩺🩻

Thank you NHS from Deer Class! 🦌💙

In science we continued our work on “pushes and pulls” and we learnt about “forces and magnetism”. During the session we explored magnets, experiencing forces in action. We talked about objects that are attracted to metals and objects that repel. We sorted these through practical activities. We looked at iron fillings, metal and a compass to experience the force. This was a fantastic experience for our pupils, they enjoyed getting involved as scientists! 🧪🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬🧬🔬🔭🥼🧲🧭

Our Champion this week is Jayden! Jayden’s talking has been beautiful, his intercations with his adults and peers have been fantastic! Jayden enjoys making everyone smile! ⭐️ Jayden also blew us away with his growth in confidence in the water this week! Jayden showed trust and resilience in the water. Jayden certainly hit some swimming achievements this week! Well done! We are so incredibly proud of you Jayden! ⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨⭐️✨
