Ladybirds have had a busy fun filled festive week , we have been using our fine motor skills to make decorations , melting snowmen chocolate biscuits and calendars. We have listened to Christmas songs, and provided our own music as an accompaniment using a variety of musical instruments. Wednesday was our party day followed by pass the parcel , dancing and a surprise visit from Father Christmas and his elf.
The children have also been very excited and curious to see lots of work going on in our playground and are looking forward to play on and explore the new equipment!
We hope that you all have an amazing Christmas, spent with family and friends making memories.
We look forward to seeing our Ladybirds in 2022 ready to begin a new term, we will be using ‘The Tiger that came to Tea ‘ for our story and looking at the letter D for our letter . Below is the story song we will use to accompany our book and the song we will use for our letter.
Our Special Superstar this week is Jasper ; for playing instruments in time with the music during our music session . All our Ladybirds have been stars this term , we are so proud of you and I’m sure Santa will be too . 🎅🏻
Well Done !!
See you in 2022 – Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from The Ladybirds team 🐞
This week Ladybirds have been busy making lots of Christmas surprises and exploring a variety of sensory activities. We finished the week with Christmas jumper day and Christmas dinner, thank you to everyone who dressed their child up , you all looked amazing !
The children also played instruments using their fine motor skills to manipulate each one to a collection of Christmas songs. During sensory cooking we made gingerbread men and added the ingredients and smelt ginger and cinnamon.
One of our girls was our Superstar this week – for joining in “10 in the bed “song with her friends and copying the actions . Well done we are so proud of you .
Party day is Wednesday 15th December -feel free to dress up and please send a plate of food for your child that they like.
Thank you as always for your continued support throughout this term.
The children have been busy this week with creating wonderful festive crafts and surprises 🤩😊
We are encouraging choice making , with different colour options, incorporating numbers, shapes and letters into our festive exploration.
We have worked together to decorate our Christmas tree, wow thank you little ladybirds 👏🐞🤩 The children were able to manipulate the decorations and with a little help attach them to the tree 🎄🌲. We added a little sparkle with different coloured tinsel.
A massive ‘Thank you’ to all the ladybird families for wonderful support over the last months, our children are making such wonderful progress and I am so proud 🤩😃🐞🐞❤️ Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a very happy and healthy new year ahead.
