Breaking Up for Summer

We have some lovely pictures of one of our Owlets today. It’s Lexi and she is looking very cool and happy in her garden. We love the flower in your hair Lexi! It looks like you enjoyed your ice cream too. Thank you to Beth for sending them for us to see.

It is with sadness that we bid Goodbye to Joe and Bartek. They are our Year 6 Leavers and we will miss them so much. We have had lots of fun times together. We wish them Good Luck at their new school in September.

Bartek’s Mum has put together a fantastic video of our Bartek growing up with his family and has kindly shared it with us. Thank you Marta, it is a beautiful video full of love and joy. You will find it at the bottom of this post. I know you all will find it very touching and heartwarming.

Also, all the staff in Owl Class would like to thank all of our wonderful parents for your support this year. We look forward to seeing you all in the Autumn. Please watch our video at the end of the post, Joe joined us too!

Have a fantastic Summer all.

Hello everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying the outdoors as much as you can. It is great to hear your news each week, and I know you are all having such fun at home with your families.

You are also working hard on developing your skills too. Well done everyone!

We have some lovely photo’s of one of our Owlets this week. He is playing in the pool with his sister and then taking a well earned rest! What fun you are having, Muhaimin! Thank you Mum, for sharing those wonderful family moments with us.

June Update and Bird Watch

Hello everyone. We have some good news for you all. School is opening next week for some pupils and it will be lovely to see you. We will be having lots of fun. I am happy to let you know that everyone is doing well at home and enjoying spending quality time with their families.

I also have some fantastic news from Elliot. He is having a baby sister and he has sent in a very special photo of her. She is very tiny at the moment and still growing in her Mummy’s tummy, but she is perfectly formed!! Thank you very much, Abi, for sharing your precious photo and special news with us. Stay safe and enjoy the summer. Also, Elliot has been celebrating having a wonderful time in the hot tub!!

Please keep your fabulous photos coming in. I know you will have a lot more to share when the sun comes back out again soon.

If you are lucky enough to have a garden or a window that looks out into it, have a go at spotting some of our garden birds from the chart below. Write down how many different birds come into your garden and let me know. We can then find out the most popular bird to visit our gardens this summer! This will be part of our bird project when we get back to school in September.

Lockdown News

Many thanks to parents for making our weekly conversations so enjoyable. I always look forward to speaking to you all and finding out what our little Owlets have been up to. Thank you also for sending in photos to share your news, helping to keep us all close during this lockdown period. Here is just some of Owl class news in a nutshell:

Christopher has been getting on famously with his new baby brother and loves him very much while Joe has been out in the garden taking the sunshine with Bob the dog and sister Evie, very sensibly wearing sunscreen, well done Joe.

Maelie-Sue is eating her meals nicely when her little brother feeds her and she is very happy being part of the fun when playing with her family in the garden. Bartek is enjoying going on long walks with Mum and Dad and loves playing in his sandpit. Every sunny day Muhaimin has been in the garden collecting eggs from his chickens and helping Nanny tend to her vegetable patch and Tom has been taking a stroll in Beacon park in Lichfield with his family, having lots of fun sitting by the gorgeous fountain.

Lexi is having a lovely time with Nan and Gramps at home in their beautiful little garden that she is helping Gramps to look after and Elliot has been taking strolls in his walking frame and starting to eat sandwiches! He also has some exciting news for us, see if you can guess what it is when you see the photos Mum has sent us!

Many thanks also to Bartek’s Mum for sending us some lovely pictures of Bartek relaxing and playing in the garden, eating apples too! What wonderful walking!

Well done to all Owlets who are working hard at home and being so good for their families.

Hello Everyone

I hope you are all staying safe and well. Thank you for posting some fantastic photos of our little Owlets enjoying themselves in lockdown with their brothers, sisters, Gramps, Nanny and some very cute pets. They show everyone having fun, learning and working hard on their Physical Management Programmes. WELL DONE EVERYONE!

We have also been sent a beautiful rainbow made by one of our very thoughtful boys for an elderly neighbour.

I am sure you will all enjoy seeing what your friends have been up to.

Can you spot our Owl Mascot? Bev has sent us a photo of him. Thank you Bev.

All of the staff in Owl Class send our love and hope to see you all again soon.

Stay safe and well

Our Brilliant Families at Home.

Take a look at some of our families and friends having fun at home. Remember the Bug Hotel? Well, Lizzie and her family made some for the garden. Don’t they look great?

Also, one of our little owlets has been very busy this week and has had a marvellous time.

Thank you to all our fabulous families for the lovely photos. Keep them coming!

Stay safe and well.

Love from all the staff in Owl Class.

The Simplest Bug Hotel Ever!

I am pleased to report that all of our little owlets and their families are staying safe and well.

I have also heard that the weather is going to be fine and sunny this weekend so I’ve posted an idea to help you get outdoors and learn about nature while also using your senses. I think it will also be fun to do.

You can make a simple bug hotel! All you need is a plastic bottle and some string. Get Mum or Dad to cut the ends off the bottle and tie some string around the middle, leaving a loop for hanging. Have fun searching for and collecting natural objects from your garden or local walk. Help to put them into the bottle , hang it up and wait for the little bugs to move in to their lovely new home!

The staff in Owl Class miss you all. Stay safe and well, enjoy time with your family and we hope to be back at school soon.

Hello Everyone

All the staff in Owl Class hope everyone is safe and well. We send our love and hope to see you all as soon as we can.

We know you all love singing and music and it cheers us up, so I’ve posted Makaton signs to go with one of our favourite songs ‘Old Macdonald Had a Farm’. Have a go at home with your family.

Also, a very big THANK YOU to one of our little owlets who has sent me some lovely rainbows he made with his family . They contain a very important message for all of us.

Take care everyone!

Sports Relief

We had a great day for Sports Relief. We played rolling the giant ball and practised our ball skills by catching and throwing. We all loved the parachute and the long ribbons were very pretty too.

Brilliant Book Week

We have all enjoyed a fantastic fun filled Book Week. Flippy and Dippy made us laugh and Circusology taught us how to spin plates and juggle scarves. The Giant Bubble session was awesome, some of us even went inside a bubble! Some clowns squirted us when we smelt a flower and we were visited by a very friendly camel. We also dressed up, made popcorn and a delicious rocky road cake.
