At the circus

This week we have been developing our gross motor skills- squiggling whilst wiggling using dance ribbons to make circle shapes.
We have also continued our interactive story ‘At the circus’, we have practised walking the tightrope, squirted the clown, swung through the air like a trapeze artiste and been a magician; pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The children have enjoyed finding their own photographs for the story and role playing. For our fine motor activities they have created their own lion face masks, hand print clowns, as well as completing a circus matching game. In our funky fingers session the week, we completed some inset puzzles, by matching the images and pushing them into place.
In cooking on Friday we will be making sandwiches.

World book week 2020 – Showtime!

Wow 🤩 what a fantastic week we have had, celebrating our love of reading. We have been very lucky to have lots of special visitors this week to teach us circus skills and enable us to explore bubbles and games. All the children loved posing on the red carpet and dancing with their friends as part of our celebration assembly. Here are just a few photos to showcase what we have been up to!

Well done Mummies and Daddies for the wonderful costumes, everyone looked fantastic!
