Wow Robins what a year it has been, it has been magical to be apart of your journey and I am so grateful I got to spend this time with you all! You kickstarted my career as a teacher and you will all hold a special place in my heart! ❤️ Our Robins family! ✨

We have had a fantastic week celebrating our journey together and all our incredible achievements. We had a magical Disney day, a graduation ceremony and a party! Robins certainly know how to party and have fun! 😁⭐️ We have lots and lots of photos to share with you this week! It’s been a busy week but full of so much fun, love and joy!

We had a super pizza party this week! We ate some yummy food and listened to some party music. We loved wearing party hats and having a boogie! 💃🕺🪩🍕It was a lovely time for us all to share together. ⭐️

On Monday we had a very magical day where we explored Disney Land in the comfort of our classroom! ⭐️ We had a Disney photo shoot, went on a rollercoaster sensory adventure, watched a Disney parade and film and we watched the spectacular fireworks. Our children communicated so well during this day and we witnessed some fantastic verbalisations! 😁⭐️

We enjoyed a special treat from school when the ice cream van came! Harley helped Ellen deliver the ice creams to class and he did a super job! Everyone loved the ice cream as you will see from the pictures! 🙈😁

We celebrated some special birthdays this week! We had lots of fun and it was fantastic to hear all the children celebrating together for their friends. 🎉🥳🎂🎁🎈

Our super star this week is Jacob. Jacob has done so much beautiful talking this week at home and school. We are amazed! For the first time Jacob said Ellen’s name which was an emotional but happy moment. We are so proud Jacob you are incredible. You will fly to infinity and beyond with your achievements! ⭐️😁

Thank you so much Robins for making our year so special, we have so many incredible memories with you all and it has been a privilege to teach you all! Thank you all so much for bringing so much joy and happiness to us. Our classroom was full of fun and laughter. I will treasure each of you in my heart and all the memories we have made! Happy Graduation from Robins class. I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world, dream big and reach for the stars. ✨✨✨✨

We have had a busy two weeks in Robins and we can’t wait to share our adventures with you!

We participated in Oakwood’s music showcase, which was a wonderful experience for us and our families. We are so proud of everyone involved, it was beautiful to see our Oakwood children singing signing and engaging, what a special moment! We had lots of happy tears at the end from our adults and parents because our children were so incredible! ⭐️

We had a fantastic maths session and our children engaged incredibly well. We loved our new number block teddies and this motivated us during the session. We ordered numbers, identified missing numbers, added to 5 and matched number names to the number blocks. Take a look at our lovely photos from the session. 😁

Alfie loved using the dice during the session to add numbers. Alfie enjoyed throwing the dice in the air and adding the two numbers together. Super adding Alfie! ➕

Kian loved creating imaginative games with the colourful bears. He counted the bears and tipped them over Gina! 🙈😁

We all entered the National Literacy Trust writing competition, we were so proud of our entries and we all won a book! We are very proud of all the children in Robins for participating in creating a beautiful piece of writing! 😁⭐️

Here is our Colour Monster story session! We love this time of the week and we are all engaging very well with the colour monsters and are using them to express our feelings throughout the day and we relate self-regulation strategies to them. We enjoy looking at the pretty fairy lights to represent happy, the water to represent sadness on a rainy day along with lots of other props to help us gain a deeper understanding of the story and the emotions. 🌈

We loved our P.E session, we were learning to indicate if we were hot or cold before and after a warm up. We all did this successfully showing we are learning about our bodies and how our bodies react to exercise. We did a warm up where we responded to symbols and went slow like a snail, 🐌 fast like a cheetah, 🐆 stomped like an elephant 🐘 and scurried like a mouse🐭. We were practicing our throwing and catching skills working closely with a friend. Everyone did a fantastic job and made some wonderful eye contact and we witnessed some beautiful interactions. 🏃‍♀️🏃

Now swimming! We are so amazed at our progress with swimming, we are all doing incredibly well and working on our personal targets, but we are learning and growing our swimming skills and confidence together as a team! Matilda amazed us with her swimming this week and she gained confidence to kick her legs and move her arms with less support! Alfie amazed us with his science knowledge of floating and sinking, he said “noodle sink and noodle float” which was wonderful! Well done everyone, what fantastic swimming sessions we have had. ⭐️

What a fantastic couple of weeks we have had in Robins, we can’t wait to have lots of fun on our last week of school! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had the best swimming session! Everyone made incredible progress this week and we are so proud of every single Robin. It was an amazing experience and we made fantastic achievements towards our targets! We did some very good listening to our swimming teacher this week! Take a look at our photos and videos.

Here we are practicing our starfish move! It was amazing to see the progress made with this skill as lots of our children were nervous about this when we first started, it is fantastic to see their confidence blossom!

Here we are having our play session at the end, it was a fantastic reward for all our hard work! ⭐️

Our super star this week is Harley-Jay! Harley Jay conquered his fears and floated in the water! We are so proud of you Harley for showing resilience, determination and trust. You are fantastic! We even had a letter from “Mr Bean” to say well done! ⭐️

It has been a fantastic week, full of fun, laughter and smiles. All our robins pupils have had amazing moments this week and you should all be so proud! ⭐️

We had a fantastic time on the bouncy castles to celebrate Gemma’ birthday from Ladybird class, thank you so much Gemma for giving our children a wonderful experience on the bouncy castles, everyone was so happy and full of energy! 😁

We had another super swimming session, we are progressing well with our water skills and we had some amazing achievements hit this week! Take a look at some fantastic videos of our swimming!

We had a super maths session, everyone engaged well and we were learning names of 2D and 3D shapes, we counted their sides and are beginning to recognise their properties. We even sorted between 2D and 3D shapes! We also completed 1-1 sessions with our adults where we cut out shapes to create a butterfly, we learnt about symmetry during this task and we practiced our cutting skills!

We enjoyed our Colour Monster story this week! We are now telling each other how we feel at frequent points during the day using an ALD and verbalising. We love the sensory items during this story and are predicting which monster is next and we are matching the colour to the emotion successfully. Matilda did a fantastic job of turning the page at the correct time! 🌈

We enjoyed play time this week where we had bubble fun! We shared the resources well with our friends and made sure everyone had a turn which was fantastic! Good sharing Robins! ⭐️

Our super star this week is… Jacob. Jacob has done some excellent communicating this week, he is participating in whole class sessions and is communicating his feelings. Jacob has had some amazing interactions with staff and his friends this week. Jacob hands out the I-Pads and ALD’s to his friends as an adult says the children’s names. Jacob also is vocalising their names which is wonderful. Well done Jacob super communication! We are so so proud of you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have had a fantastic couple of weeks in Robins and we have lots to share with you! It’s been a busy couple of weeks and it has been very sunny, but we have drank lots of water and had ice lollies to keep us cool! ☀️🧊🍦

We are so excited to share with you our cinema photos! We went to the Light Cinema and had a fantastic time. We are so proud of Robins, they were a credit to Oakwood! We transitioned incredibly well to the new place, we even went up an escalator, robins found this very funny! 😁 We watched The Super Mario Bros Movie, we loved every minute and everyone sat beautifully for the film enjoying lots of popcorn and drinks!

This week we have introduced our emotional support bear to Robins, his name is “Helpful Harry” and the children are learning to seek for Helpful Harry when they need help to calm.

We had lots of fun making Father’s Day cards and gifts, here are some lovely photos of us having a photo shoot. 💙

We had a fantastic music session with Bev, we were sharing resources and engaging so well. Alfie loved the song “roll the ball” and we are going to start doing this game in our “good morning routine” as everyone loved it so much! ⭐️

This week we had music in the sensory room, this was a lovely experience and it was fantastic to see everyone engaging in their own way. Jacob amazed us with his engagement when we played the beach ball game, he made some fantastic vocalisations and everyone cheered! 😄 It was amazing to see everyone celebrating each other’s achievements.

Here we are in our phonics and writing session, our pencil control is progressing well and we are becoming more independent when forming letters with support from the RWI phrases, this week we are learning “n”.

Our super star this week is Baneet! We are so proud of Baneet, she has tried very hard this week with her work and is always so enthusiastic, she has been kind to her friends and has made everybody smile. Well done Baneet! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a busy week we had! All this hard work and amazing achievements is making us tired! 😴 We can’t wait for more adventures in Robins next week!

What a lovely week we have had in Robins class, we certainly made use of the sunny weather! It has been a busy week in Robins class and we can’t wait to share our snaps from this week!

We had our sports showcase with our families this week! It was lovely to see our families in school so we could show them our P.E session! We had lots of fun! Thank you for coming! 😁

On Friday we joined Caterpillar class in their water play session at break time. 💦🌊💧We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the cool water in the hot weather. We had lots of fun playing with caterpillars. Thank you for having us Caterpillars! 🐛

We had a fantastic music session with Bev, it was amazing to see everyone engage so well, the children were very proud of themselves! 🎶🎼🎵🎻

We are doing so well in phonics, we are forming letters beautifully using the RWI formation phrases, we know these off by heart now along with the letter sounds! 😁 Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning “i” and “n”.

This week we enjoyed our self-care session, where we engaged in our colour monster sensory story and teeth brushing! 🦷🪥

This week has been a very special week in Robins class, we went to the farm! It was an amazing experience and we had so much fun together. It was amazing to see our children interacting with the animals and being so kind and caring. We had some magical moments that were so special. We are so proud of everyone in Robins for making us feel so much pride and joy. Robins were a credit to Oakwood and it was fantastic to see.

We attended a “chick chat” and were able to see some chicks, they were so tiny and fluffy! We went on a bumpy tractor ride which was amazing! We even sat on a horse which was a wonderful experience. 🐴🚜🐣

Here we are travelling to the farm, we were so excited and have been having a count down in class of how many days till the farm! We were wide awake and ready to be farmers! 🧑‍🌾👩‍🌾🚜

Next stop “chick chat”, we learnt about chicks and loved feeling how fluffy they were! One chick tried to fly out the basket which scared Shell and Ellen! 🙈😁🐣

Bumpy tractor ride time! We loved this experience, we looked at the beautiful fields, the donkeys, and the cows! What a special memory to treasure! 👩‍🌾🧑‍🌾🚜

What a fantastic week we have had. We have worked so hard, made some fantastic progress and had some beautiful moments.

We had lots of fun this week celebrating Eurovision, here are some fantastic photos of us posing with our microphone. I think we would have a good chance of winning with Robins class. We loved our music choosing session where we listened to our favourite songs! We had lots of Coldplay fans in Robins! 🌈 🎶🎼🎸🎤🎹

We had a fantastic maths session, we have been learning about shapes, we are focusing on 2D shapes. We were amazed at how much our shape knowledge has processed, we are now looking at hexagons, heptagons, octogons etc… We are learning to remember how many sides each shape has. During this session we also learnt to differentiate between 2D and 3D shapes. 🔵🟩🔺🔷❤️⭐️

We enjoyed our sensory train session this week. We love singing along and enjoying the experience with one another. Jacob made his own sensory train with the teddies. 🧸🚂

During our number session this week, our focus was number three. We use “Number Blocks” to help us. At the start of the session we engage with a number PowerPoint, a number blocks episode that links with our focus and some maths games as a whole class. We engage in tuff tray activities, engage with concrete manipulative and complete 1-1 sessions with our adults. We are doing very well with our number sessions! ➕✖️➗🟰⭐️

We had a fantastic music session with Bev, we did some beautiful singing and played the instruments and listened well to instructions. We were also learning about how music makes us feel and this was linked to the colour monsters! 🌈🎶😁 Bev gave ou special certificates in our super star assembly to Jacob and Harley Jay for amazing engagement and vocalising. Well done Jacob and Harley! 😁✨🎤

What a lovely week we have had celebrating King Charles’ Coronation. We read story books about the coronation, decorated cakes, made paper chain decorations, watched our friends at Rushall Primary School perform songs, made crowns, made flags and finished our celebrations with a party! 😁👑🎉 What a busy week we have had.

We enjoyed listening to stories about the coronation. We all engaged well and have developed a good understanding of the event. We also were learning how to curtesy! We had a giggle trying to do this! 🙈😁

We had a cake competition at Oakwood, we got our thinking caps on and made a super coronation cake fit for a King! We all took turns and shared this experience together which was fantastic to see. We are very proud to announce we won the cake competition! Well done Robins! 🎉⭐️🎂🍰

Alfie enjoyed the Coronation celebrations and we captured a special moment of him taking about the King! 🤴👑⭐️

We made paper chain links as decorations for the coronation. Our key skill focus was making patterns with the colours. The children showed lots of focus and concentration! 🇬🇧😁⭐️

On Friday we had a party to celebrate our new King! 🤴🇬🇧👑 We enjoyed some yummy food and music. We loved sharing this experience together.

On Friday we attended a special celebration, we listened to our friends at Rushall singing and performing. We joined in singing the song we have been learning with Bev “message for the King” we did some fantastic signing. We had some special guests joining the celebration too! The sun was shining and we were very lucky!

What a fantastic week we have had! This week we have been eco-hero’s! We have been exploring eco conservation and envitonment week at Oakwood which leads into our Corornation celebrations! King Charles is a committed environmentalist and we thought we would help too! We loved doing some planting at school, and we also did an amazing bug hunt where we went round school to find clues, numbers and phonic letters! We want to say a big thank you for creating the bug hunt Amanda it was fantastic and we got so many amazing observations of the children engaging!

We had a fantastic maths session, this week we were learning about the number 2! Everyone engaged so well and it was amazing to see our number knowledge developing!

Jacob decided he wanted to change the timetable on Thursday! He chose maths, dough, disco, swimming, cinema, sensory train, road safety story time, activity time, I-Pads and party time! 😁🙈 What a busy day that would be Jacob! 😅 Jacob then showed everyone the routine for the day 😁
