This week we have enjoyed playing on the PS5! Caleb was awesome at settling it up for me as I don’t know how to use it! We then all played FC25 and scored many goals for Aston Villa.
On the last day we had a lovely music lesson. Over the term we have been learning about pulse, beat and pitch. We have also been following the beat at different speeds and deciding whether it is slow, walking pace or fast.
For the last PE session of the year we had a free session to play with our favourite equipment from throughout the year. We picked anything that we have used this year that was our favourite. Can you spot our favourite sports?
It is always so nice to have the ice cream van come to school. What a treat for all of the pupils and adults in the school. Thank you so much!
What a talented group of pupils we have at Oakwood! Over upper primary and secondary we have pupils that can sing, dance, use parachutes and tell jokes! Wow! You are all amazing 🤩
This week we enjoyed our final community visit for the year. We had a lovely morning out to Lichfield where we went for a walk and then enjoyed ourselves on the park.
What an enjoyable sports day we had a couple of weeks ago. The sun was shining and it was lovely spending time together with chestnuts class too. We had a go at running races, throwing events (javelin and hoop) and orienteering in the forest.
Some of Willows class went to the careers fayre at Wolverhampton Racecourse. It was an opportunity for pupils to see what kinds of courses would be available to them after the finish Oakwood. They had a go at activities and listened to people on the stall talk about their job and what they have to do.
Rushall held a music festival for us to go and watch on the afternoon. It was wonderful to see the Rushall pupils singing and dancing. Some of Willows class ran the drinks and snack stall so that parents could buy some treats. We joined in with the song ‘Sky full of stars’ and showed everyone our wonderful singing and signing.
