It was lovely to see pupils dressed up in their own clothes, thinking about what their favourite book is. We really enjoyed seeing the books they brought in and sharing what they like about the books.
We themed our day around The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛 🦋. We started by sharing the book together and enjoying what happens in each part of the story. We then had activity packs that we could do during our free choice time and we took it home at the end of the day.
Then using different fruits as represented in the book we made our own fruit smoothies. We had a try of two different flavours to see which one we preferred.
We then enjoyed a work station that had activities and items linked to the story. It was a very enjoyable day and it was nice to spend time together.
