It has been really warm recently so it was important that we give the plants lots of water. We fills up the watering cans and water all of our lovely plants. Then we went to the forest to have a play. We enjoyed exploring the forest and also playing on the grass.
We always enjoy soft play sessions. It is fun but also really tiring! We like to spin, climb and side our way around the whole room.
Over the past two weeks we have been to Aldridge town centre. We bought some items that we needed for our enterprise project from Morrisons. The following week we went to Morrisons and our teacher bought us some ice lollies. It was a lovely day and we went in the town centre and sat on the bench to enjoy our lollies.
We have continued to engage in personal care sessions and had a go a foot care today. We filed our nails with the file to make sure they are smooth. Then we cleaned and relaxed our feet in the warm foot spa. Once we had dried our feet we put some cream on to moisturise them.
This week, Year 9 went to visit Rodbaston College. This is in preparation for the work they will be doing next year in Year 10. We went for a visit so that we know what to expect when we go and do some learning there. We will be learning about Animal Care and learning essential life skills as we get older. We saw lots of animals as we walked around and it was amazing to see them all. They were so cute!
Over the past couple of weeks, Claire’s maths group have been working on using lots of varieties of maths equipment to represent numbers in different ways. Even though there were lots of different ways to make the number this didn’t hold us back and managed to make all of the numbers to 20. Wow!
We have enjoyed our science sessions and have learnt how to make a bulb light up. Pupils were given the equipment they needed and then set the challenge to connect it all to light the bulb. We were fantastic and loved seeing the bulb light up 💡🔋
Before the holiday we had our last swimming lesson for the year. We had been taught over the term by Liz and Abbie at Oak Park. They did a wonderful job at teaching us new skills and working towards our awards.
