On Wednesday, it was Chinese New Year. We did a variety of activities throughout the week. We listened to the story about how the years were named after each animal. The story says that there was a great race and the winners of the race were given a year of the zodiac named after them.
Then we did some craft activities around Chinese new year. We painted a snake for the year of the snake, coloured a Chinese new year picture and made a Chinese dragon chatterbox by folding paper.

Then on Friday, a lovely group of Rushall Primary School pupils visited out class to show us their dragon dance. Thank you for visiting our class! ππ². It is traditional at Chinese new year to give red envelopes with coins in to wish people luck for the coming year.
