Today was a very special day for a small group of children that have been closely working with their peers at Rushall, as they had the opportunity to visit London and attended the Superbloom event at the Tower of London.

The children were absolutely amazing throughout the whole day and enjoyed admiring all the different wild flowers growing around the tower grounds. Many of our friends spotted and named different flowers, as well as recognised some of the insects flying between the flowers. 

During our day we got to meet a real ‘Beefeater’ and also explored the grounds of the tower. We took part in a special presentation at the ‘Tower of London’ to celebrate the Queen’s Jubliee and the wonderful growing projects all the schools around the country have completed. 

Another highlight of our trip was the sight seeing of important London landmarks including the ‘London Eye’ and going through the dark tunnels during our journey. 

It Friday and its time to announce our ’Attendance Ted’ winners this week. Drum roll please…………🥁🥁🥁🥁

Our winners this week for 100% attendance at school are Dragonflies at the Mainsite and Caterpillars at the Satellite.

Well done to all our winners, Attendance Ted are going to have so much fun in your classes next week and we cannot wait to hear all about it !!

This week we have continued with our Jubilee celebrations at Oakwood by taking part in a range of fun activities including decorating crowns, designing royal flags and enjoying red, white and blue activities. We especially enjoyed making jam sandwiches for our Jubilee class picnics, as well taking part in Oakwood’s cake decorating competition.

We all used our amazing decorating skills to create our own unique class Jubilee themed cakes and then during our ’Superstar’ assembly our cakes were judged and our winners were announced. The winners of our ’Jubilee Cake Decorating Competition’ was ‘Bumblebees’ at the main site and ’Doves and Robins’ were joint first at the Satellite.
