Owl Babies

We all know and love the story of ‘Owl Babies’ and to start off our book week, we have been really lucky to welcome some real owls into school.

Some children were able to hold the owls on their arm with the protective glove and under the close supervision of their handler.

What a fantastic opportunity to see and ask questions about these magnificent birds up close.

We even got to see their friend ferret.

Attendance Ted

The winner of Attendance Ted this week is Gillian’s group. They were the class with the highest percentage of children with 100% attendance last week. Well done!

Book Week 2019

We have an exciting week in store to celebrate Book Week 2019!

Keep watching our blogs to see all of the wonderful experiences we will have throughout the week, all around our topic ‘The Stories People Tell’.

In the Reception area you will already be able to see examples of our hard work at home to illustrate some of our favourite stories.

Well done everyone!

Chinese New Year Celebrations

We have had a fantastic week celebrating Chinese New year, the children have really enjoyed decorating boxes and making a whole school dragon.

We all joined together for music, lights and dancing in the hall and  explored the wonderful artistic boxes we created as classes. The children engaged well with musical instruments and sensory resources along with dancing the moves of our Chinese New Year Dragon song.

Well done everyone! Thank you Lisa for organising it for us all to enjoy.
