At Oakwood on Friday 1st April 2022 we celebrated the Hindu festival of โHoliโ ๐ through a day of colour. Holi is a Hindu festival that marks the arrival of Spring, known widely as the Festival of Colour. It takes place over two days and is a celebration of colour , love and a triumph of good versus evil.
We all arrived to school in colourful outfits and throughout the day all our classes had a great time taking part in a range of colourful activities including colour mixing, painting, decorating colourful biscuits, colourful sand play, scarf dancing and we even enjoyed a colourful snack time and playtime. One of our favourite activities was taking part in face painting, we especially enjoyed creating our own wonderful creations using our face paint pens to help.
Everybody at Oakwood would like to wish all a โHappy Holiโ. ๐๐
