This week we have enjoyed ‘Sport’s Day’ at school, at the Satellite it took place on Wednesday and at the main site it took place at Thursday. We all had a wonderful time, getting dressed into our P:E kits and then taking part in a range of P:E activities on our school playgrounds. We enjoyed ‘party time with the parachute’, ‘jumptastic to practice our jumping skills’, ‘we aimed high when throwing at given targets’, as well as we ‘pranced and danced’ using our colourful scarves and ribbons to our favourite music. Our favourite activity station was our ‘bubble bonanza’, we made some amazing giant bubbles and enjoyed popping them.
A huge well to everyone who took part – everyone was a winner!!

We have had so much fun during World Book Week this year it ended up lasting two whole weeks at the Oakwood Satellite. We have had a wonderful time when Rex the Dinosaur and Woody and Slinky visited and we especially enjoyed taking part in all the wonderful activities in our classes. Friday was the highlight of the week, as our toy story theme came to life during our dressing up day- Oakwood had their very own Woody’s, Buzz Lightyear’s and Potato Head’s.

Finally a HUGE well done to everyone for the fantastic homework challenges that you completed and sent into school, your creations were toy-tastic.

We are celebrating World Book Day by having a special week in school devoted to books. Our theme this year is Toy Story.
