Welcome back everyone after our Easter break, we hope everyone had a great holiday.

This week Attendance Ted has continued his exciting adventures in school and on Friday it was announced our highest attendance winners this week are Doves class at the Satellite and and Nightingales at the Main Site. Well done to our winners 🎉🎉🌟🌟.

This week our Attendance Ted superstars🌟 are the children in Butterflies🦋 and Rabbits🐰 class, for 100% attendance. We are super proud of our winners this week and we cannot wait to here about all the exciting adventures Attendance Ted gets up to in your classrooms after the Easter holiday. A big cheer to Butterflies and Rabbits🎉🎉🎉🎉. WELL DONE!

This years at Oakwood we have celebrated Easter by taking part in our whole school ‘Easter Bonnet Competition’ and ’ Easter Egg Hunt’. Everyone created their own bonnets and crowns using a large range of crafting materials and then each class took part in their own ‘Easter Bonnet Parades’. All the teachers were so amazed at the wonderful creations that we all made that everyone at Oakwood were winners.
WELL DONE ALL FOR YOUR HARD WORK AND FANTASTIC CREATIVITY!

Also during this week we had a great time taking part in our ‘Easter Egg hunt’ around school, we followed the clues given to help find our hidden chocolate eggs and when we found them we got to eat them all up, they were very yummy! We even had a special visitor from the real Easter bunny who presented us with our ‘Easter Bonnet certificates’ and our own ‘Easter Egg treat’.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our PSA for kindly donating all the wonderful resources for our ’Easter Bonnet Crafting’ and ’Easter Egg Hunt’. Thank you!

We also want to wish all our Oakwood families a very ’Happy Easter’ and hope you enjoy time together during the Easter break.

A big thank you to Brownhills Rotary Club again this year for donating Easter Eggs for all of our children. They have supported us for many years and we are very grateful. Happy Easter!

At Oakwood on Friday 1st April 2022 we celebrated the Hindu festival of ‘Holi’ 🌈 through a day of colour. Holi is a Hindu festival that marks the arrival of Spring, known widely as the Festival of Colour. It takes place over two days and is a celebration of colour , love and a triumph of good versus evil.

We all arrived to school in colourful outfits and throughout the day all our classes had a great time taking part in a range of colourful activities including colour mixing, painting, decorating colourful biscuits, colourful sand play, scarf dancing and we even enjoyed a colourful snack time and playtime. One of our favourite activities was taking part in face painting, we especially enjoyed creating our own wonderful creations using our face paint pens to help.
